My name is Matt Woodruff. I’m a Catholic student at Temple University here in Philadelphia (henceforth known as simply Philly). Oh, and I’m also a very proud lifelong nerd (I’m actually wearing a t-shirt for my school’s Catholic Newman Center over-top of my “Bluth’s Original Frozen Banana” t-shirt as I type this- no Lie!) with a special over-the-top fascination with comic books, superheroes and Doctor Who. As Temple is a (very) secular campus, I’m always trying to find new ways to help explain the faith, especially through movies, television, superheroes and other pop culture phenomenons i find I have in common with those I’m speaking with. Just to name two examples are using Batman to explain the idea of good coming from suffering and the Doctor to help try to explain the complex mystery of the Holy Trinity. I absolutely love the idea of the blog you have here! I definitely believe it could be a fantastic resource! However, I was disappointed to find that you only had 6 articles total, and hadn’t posted since January. I know it must be quite demanding of both time and effort, but I would really believe this could be a great resource for many Catholics and those exploring their faith. If at all possible, I would love to be able to help keep this site running by contributing articles, advertising to others about future articles, research, or whatever you would need. I really hope to hear back from you! God Bless!
